Miss Attitude

Well hello little Miss Attitude where did you come from?? New favorite word: "No!" New favorite trick: Arching your back (while screaming NO) and wiggling out of arms, carseats, etc. New favorite past time: Harassing anything that will put up with you. I am sure most of these are learned as a coping mechanism..ahem Lexie. Good Thing you are still so cute!

HALLOWEEN

This Halloween was not as much fun as we had hoped for because you and Mason were trying to recover from the croup! We had you all dressed up like a little ballerina, and you enjoyed being pushed in the stroller over at the rec center. About an hour into it though everyone was ready to come home and go to bed. Oh well less candy to fight over I suppose.
When we got home we watched Alvin and the chipmunks "Wolfman" and had pizza. You were happy just to hang out with everyone

Halloween Festivities

Here you are getting all ready for cookie decorating and pumpkin carving. We were able to pick out some pumpkins with Aunt Neenee in Gunnison. You didn't duo much carving or frosting, but you thoroughly enjoyed eating the cookies and rolling your pumpkin on the ground.

Otterpops

By far your favorite food EVER! OTTERPOPS...you will stand by the freezer grunting for one and once in your hands there is no releasing it from your clutches until it is ALL gone and you are one sticky mess.

Over the River and Thru the Woods...

This is the route we took to get to Maga's house this weekend. It sounded like a good idea and was pretty fun for the first 2 hours...but it was downhill after that. Turns out that you are not a fan of windy roads and long trips in the van. But hey, we got to see beautful WYOMING!!

You've Had A Birthday!

My sweet little baby is ONE now! Where has this year gone, always seems to go by so fast and you have made this such a great year and have been such a precious little baby. Let's begin with your one year stats that I know: *You are now officially m biggest kiddo. You are about 65% in weight and 75%height. This is not characteristic of our family but I love that you have a little more chubby on you! *You started walking at the end of your ninth month and now there is no stopping you. Walking all over and climbing up, on and over everything.
*You are still a daddy's girl. You wait for him to come home and waddle over to the door saying "dada" or "daddy" followed by a squeal and giggles. Then during dinner you just sit and stare at him smiling, making sure he acknowledges that you are there. You have him wrapped around your finger!
*You have two teeth on bottom and are finally cutting your two teeth on top. Needless to say you are slobbering mess lately! Your first tooth came in at 10.5 months, the nest st 11.5 months and now at 12 months almost 4. *Your words are almost identical to the ones your brother and sister said first. Mama, dada, daddy, hi, gu (gus) and a new one I have heard is no.
*You love playing dolls with Lexie and love being pushed in her play stroller. You two are sure to be best friends. *You Otter Pops, you run to the freezer whenever it is opened grunting and reaching for one. You are not a picky eater by any means though. So far you eat everything you are fed, minus peas. *If I had one complaint it is your love to hang out in the bathroom. If that door is ever left open you are in there sucking on toothbrushes and trying to eat the toothpaste(thank goodness this has been unsuccessful for the most part). For your birthday we just did a family party here at home with the cake smash. You were a little unsure what to do when it was set in front of you, but once I gave a little push you pretty much licked all the frosting off. I think is made you a little sick though-too much sugar! Your grammy and papa came up the week before and got you a little doll and toy vacuum. Your nanny got you a toy that makes music and mom and dad got you clothes and a carseat. Happy Birthday my big ONE year old girl! We look forward to all of the adventures ahead with you!

Zoo Trip

Your first trip to the zoo was short an sweet. We ran up there in the evening with your cousins. You enjoyed the polar bear exhibit and the elephants the most. However, most of your observations happened from the comfort of your stroller.
Oh you gotta love that hair!

Earrings!

I didn't think I would be a mom who pierced her little girls ears until they were older, but I did. You were brave and went with Lexie over to Walmart and had them done. Mom took both of you, and was pretty okay with the idea. Then once they put them into both ears, it was all I could do not to cry. You looked so cute, but so grown-up! That is what made me sad, I want you to stay my baby forever. I try to tell you everyday to stop growing, but it has not seemed to work. Even as you grow bigger know that you will always be my baby girl!
Such cute sisters!

Fourth of July

Your First Fourth and we spent it in Vernal. Not quite as exciting as years past but we still had fun. We started out with the parade. You were not a huge fan of the horns and sirens, but you still sat for most of it. This parade was not like most in that it was 2 hours filled with tractors, diesels and oil trucks. Maybe next year we will have to introduce you to the traditional "float".

9 Months

What a busy month for you! At the beginning of the month you started out cruising around the furniture, and now at th end you are attempting to walk on your own! You have successfully taken 10 steps consecutively on your own and are anxious to make this your primary mode or transportation. Still a joy to have around and love anyone who will give you attention. You can say mama, dada, a high pitched "hi" and a grunting sound whenever you are motioning for Gus. Love our munchkin!

8 Months Old

Here are our 8 month milestones: You picked up on crawling at about 7.5 months. Since then there has been no stopping you. The day after you learned how to pull yourself up on furniture and have begun to cruise around a few steps before falling down. We have graduated to more solids and eating some cheerios and rice puffs. You love it! Anything to feel bigger. You started saying "mama" correctly, and it has proven fruitful for you. How can I not come in and rescue you when I hear your cute little raspy voice crying out "mama" from your crib? Finally back to waking up only 1-2 times a night. You should be sleeping through the night by now, but as long as you keep going back to sleep after eating I won't complain. Still small, but with plenty of yummy cheeks to kiss. Love you and love those cheeks!

7 Months Old

Another month down and you are going strong! Let us see here, what are you doing...
1. You are army crawling and getting up on all fours trying to really crawl but your arms are not cooperating very well, so you just sit there propped up, rocking back and forth.
2. You were sleeping pretty well through the night (10PM-5:30AM) until about 2 weeks ago, now we are back to every three hours-mom is not liking that so much.
3. Still a little baby, but not as small as your sister. Waiting on the stats of your next Dr. appt still.
4. Babbling and laughing a whole bunch...LOVE LOVE LOVE your giggle.
5. You L-O-V-E food! All shapes and forms-well I guess the only form you have had is pureed but hey you like it!
6. Sitting all by yourself. You started doing this last month but would tip over after 5-10 seconds. Now you are sitting pretty well until you reach for something too far or get distracted watching things and people.

Last but not least you are still just the best little baby and addition to our family. We could not love you anymore!

Six.Months.Old

WOW! Already six months? Where has the time gone. We have yet to get you into your doctor apptointment but here are the 'facts' that I do know about you.
1. You are army scooting across the floor to get to where you want to be.
2. We are attempting to sit on your own, and have done so successfully for small increments of time. I am sure it is only a matter of days before this is mastered.
3. You are still waking up 2 times a night to eat, but you go right back to bed.
4. You are the happiest little baby when you do wake up. You just sit and chit-chat in your bed until someone comes and gets you.
5. You are so smiley, and make anyone who is holding you feel like they are AWESOME!
6. TOLERANT-with a capital 'T'! I don't think Lexie could have asked for a better baby sister. You pretty much let her drag you anywhere (against mom's wishes) and do pretty much anything to you.
7. No teeth yet, but this is expected when you come into our little family. We will start looking for these when you are closer to one.
8. We are slowly introducing you to new foods and so far all have been a hit. Granted we have not introduced the GREENS yet.
9. You are losing all of your dark hair, and what is left and turning lighter and LONG. We shall see how it comes in, I am hoping it stays dark and your eyes stay blue-so BEAUTIFUL!
10. We absolutely love you and thank heaven for such a perfect little angel everyday!
