Little Miss Emma arrived on Friday August 26, 2011 at 4:26pm. This little girl had been playing tricks on me for about a week and a half prior to actually coming. At 36 weeks I started having regular contractions one evening and got all geared up to get this baby here. I was having them every 2-3 minutes though not really strong. I went in to be checked and was only dialated to a 2+ and did not progress in the first hour. They did find that I was dehydrated and put fluid back in me, but then sent me home. For the next 2 days I continued to have contractions but then they stopped. On Friday the 26th, I went in to my 38 week appt and my water broke. They sent me directly to the hospital. I checked in around 11:45am and had our precious baby girl at 4:25 pm. Everything went well, with the exception of the epidural that only numbed my left side.

I know that I have gone through this two times before but it still is such an incredible experience bringing a baby into this world. These little babies truly are gifts from god and words cannot explain the overwhelming feelings that flooded throughout my ENTIRE body when you were first placed in my arms. As they placed you on my chest to help calm you down, I looked up at your dad and he was starting to tear up. A perfect little baby girl, our own little miracle. Even from the first moment of holding you I couldn't help but wonder "how was my life complete without this precious baby before?" And the best part is this is only the beginning...
